Im wondering how long your oil light stays on after the bike is running. Mine stays on for a little more than 1 sec. then goes off. Ive always had import bikes and the oil light would go off immediately when the bike started. The bike is a 08xt and running mobile 1 20-50 oil. I also keep the oil level around half way mark on the stick. This just makes me alittle nervous when the bike is running and the oil light is still on. Im quessing its because of the oil weight. | ||

Mine does that too. I think it's just because of the weird new pumps the 2008 have. | ||

Mine really scared me when I changed the oil last time in fact. I filled the filter, swingarm and fired it up. Light went out in the normal amount of time and then came back on! I freaked out and killed the engine. Rechecked the levels, they were fine. I restarted the engine and then it went out and stayed out. Bubble I guess. The engine hasn't blown up yet  | ||

That was one thing I noticed immediately when I picked up my 09 12X. My 06's oil light would shut off directly after startup, the 09 lingers for perhaps half a second. I think the redesign on the oiling system is the reason. But what the hell do I know? |
