My wife didn't get mad at me when I bought my Uly. It was Christmas day last year, three days after I bought it, when she found it in my garage that she got mad. I told her that I didn't JUST buy it, I've had it for a few days and that my son(age 6) bought it for me(which he did). I gave him a brown bag full of cash, he threw the cash down on the table at the dealer and said, take it or leave it, thats all I've got. He bought it, not me. I'll let you know when she gets over it. I might have been better off buying me one of those girlfriends that your wife thinks that you have. But, that wouldn't be near as much fun as my Uly. ..................still mad. | ||

Welcome to this. My wife is only mad most of the time that I spend on BadWeB, unless she is working. A long time married friend of mine got a girl friend. My wife is not as mad as his. I bought her a Buell thinking I would get a reprieve, no luck, now she spies on what I write so she knows what I'm thinking about. Should be simple enough; ride, smile a lot, ride some more, discuss with fellow riders, occasionally fix things, ride some more, smile some more, repeat for years.  | ||

Thanks for all the "welcomes". Hooper, I found this site on Google, when my brand new bike's check engine light came on with only a few hundred miles on it. I was hoping to find what the problem was before I took it back to the dealer. The amount of info on this site was amazing! I look forward to riding with you guys that are in the area. Here is what you do when you bring a new bike home or if you are spending too much time with your bike. SOme how, in that "female way", the expression on her face will let you know she is upset. This is the time to be a manly man and gain immediate control of the situation. React quickly and calmly, say and do the following; Before she says a word, look at your watch and say"honey, look here at the time. BE A GOOD "LIL" WOMAN AND GET IN THE KITCHEN AND FIX ME SOMETHING TO EAT, WHILE I SHINE ON MY NEW MOTORCYCLE. The results are predictable and quite entertaining. | ||

All black all the time -- works for bikes and guns. Once you get 4, or more, she'll most likely never know the difference. I'd recommend regular inventory rotation to keep her confused and guessing. | ||
