By the way guys, I knew I could count on my Badweb buddies to help out. The only problem is you would have to bring a downpayment and sign a bunch of forms. Let me know if you still want to help.

Squid is a reference to the USNavy.
When I was aboard ship the guys who were close to the end of there enlistment they would say "I'm short" as to say my time left here is short. This is sometimes even used as an excuse for a certain tolerated laziness or who cares attitude towards work. I thought perhaps you were ex navy also.

I recall a story of a guy who was let off the ship 24 hrs early due to travel arrangements his chief was not told prior to the next morning's muster. This guy and the chief had been butting heads all week about the whole "short timers" attitude thing. That morning instead of telling the chief about shorty's early departure we took a hat placed on top of a pair boots and stood them in the muster line were that guy was supposed to be standing. Chief didn't think it was nearly as funny we did! Those were great times & good memories

Well boys, I picked up my Uly last night and bombed the mountains (really they're just big hills) on my way home. It was worth the wait but damn it is tall. I can't reach the stupid kickstand when I'm on the bike. I have to put the stand up and then jump over/onto the bike. What I'm gonna do with hard bags is yet to be determined. I can see this thing hitting the ground on a weekly basis. Impossible for me to put two feets down at once. Taking it to eastern LI tomorrow for Christmas party. I almost wish I were a corn fed teutonic giant freak. Almost.

I've stumpy legs and have to tippy toe on both feets ...you kinda get used to it and learn to be mindful of road camber when coming to a stop.... on the brighter side...that windshield may actually work for ya!

Shake down cruise = awesome. It was about a 240 mile round trip mostly slab but some shoulder/curb/grass when the traffic was stop and go. I see me and this bike spending a lot of time together. Now I need to re assemble the kids 9R so I have room in the garage to put all my cool Uly bits on. Starting with those HID lights.

Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Costs about 80 bucks in New Jersey. Don't ask me how I know.

Dont get caught in the skate park after midnight with the bike.... No fine but the sheriff was NOT amused.
They will be erecting a sign at the park that explicitly prohibits motorized vehicles DAMHIK
