Tire pressure on Uly for off road applications... I've run at 25 pounds pressure without problems... Has any one run lower?

Never felt the need to drop the pressure, but it would be interesting to see how low before you risk damaging the rim or tire.

It all depends on the terrain. If running on rocks and larger gravel I keep a higher just to protect the rims. It is a little squirely sometimes. Generally the soft terrain I go to 25 but haven't ventured lower. With the Distanzias I ran a normal pressure all the time to protect the rim because of the smaller 160 tire.
As sensitive Buells are to handling, tire pressures off road will make a ton of difference if you try it. Another excuse to but a tool like a handy small compressor and tire repair kit to take along for the ride.

My tires were pretty low on this outing. So much so that the bike was nearly useless on the street - the tires were pretty much mush. I did not suffer any rim damage from the outing. My guess is the pressure was somewhere in the low 20s.
