The six speed from Baker is only for the tubers, there is none that i know of for the XB.

I have always thought that would be an awesome combination! It would give you roughly the same high gear as a stock XB12, but with the extra gear down at the bottom.

It would give the Uly the ability to crawl through ruff terrain and could help a Firebolt or Lightning get off the line quicker.

I personally think five gears are fine but I would love the first gear to be lower for traffic crawling and stuff.

My friend's old Honda VT500 ascot had a six speed box and the lowest gear was a real crawler.
Idling in first gear, was just barely fast enough to pick your feet up : )

Same with my old KLR250.

I think most manual transmission vehicles should be fitted with a crazy low first that you wouldn't even have to use.

I have one of those! Glad to have it too, since dealer has taken (so far) 5 days longer than promised to replace a rear rocker gasket on the Uly. After finding out the Uly STILL wasn't ready yesterday, I took the Ascot for a ride.
