I have decided (if the weather cooperates without sleet or snow) to make a Fl. - NC trip this Thanksgiving.
My rear belt is pretty loose, and rather than wait for an on-the-road failure, I may change it to the new updated belt. Plus add some factory heated grips for weather insurance.
Does anyone KNOW who might have both the new belt and grips in stock ? I prefer to order from a Badweb sponsor, but hopefully one who offers a little discount (cheap bastard )
I know of a couple 20% off places on-line, but don't trust them to be prompt enough to get the parts to me in time.

There's a good chance American Sport Bike will have both.

I checked them on-line today, and I couldn't find the factory grips. They did have the belt, but listed at the full $175 price.

Ironhead1977,

I did that already. He will have to order the belt, but says it should only take a few days.
I will call them in the AM.

I've had my share of " no problem, we'll have that for you in a couple days" turn into a couple weeks.
Plus, I need a little time to install the belt and heated grips before the trip, in between work.

Hey Lime,

If it helps you at all, I have the factory heated grips/ brand new in the box. You are welcome to them, if you think the delivery time might be too long from your vendor - I'll ship them to you and you can just replace them with a set, back to me, whenever.

Johnboy777,
I already ordered the belt and grips from Gainesville HD/Buell. The grips were in stock, but have to wait for the belt to come in first. Thanks for the offer.

Bearly,
Thanks for the grip installation reference. I dread "unpacking" the cowl area though -- HID low beam components, plus 2 relays for the PIAA fog and driving lights. Thing are a little tight in there, all ziptied in place.

Hah you think thats tight? I got more in mine and I got a Lightning! No need to zip tie anything, everything is held onto each other by themselves.
