""What does this have to do with a Uly."" I don't know, actually, but "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take this anymore!" LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WINDtlPXmmE

So...lets see. A scandal plagued leader with a 22% approval rating, 10 trillion in debt - with another 20 or so in unfunded liability, a nice little "mission accomplished" war we cant seem to win or get out of, a mad scramble to pass rules to further defile all my favorite fishing spots, a deregulated banking system that has managed to tank our economy, a trickle down ideology that isnt even dripping much anymore...yep, all in all been a pretty good show for 8 years. Cant even contemplate 4 more years of a McBush administration. But Hey - the Uly still runs and I'm out of a job soon - time to ride. |

Yes, Obamessiah will save us all. Doesn't congress, controlled by the Dems, have a lower approval rating than Bush? So, the answer to our problems is putting in a Dem President as well? No, the answer is cleaning house. Vote out every incumbent Senator and Congressman. They are the real problem. |

On Tuesday morning, November 4, I'm going to get up a little early and ride my XT to the polls and cast my vote for the least dangerous candidate.(I've got nobody to vote for, but there's always somebody to vote against) Then, I'm going to ride to work. It's supposed to be a nice day, weather wise. Hopefully, riding the bike will help remove some of the bad taste this election has given me. |

Speaking of riding to the polls, I got an e-mail flyer from the "Ride to Work Day" folks promoting "Ride to Vote" day. "No matter which candidates, propositions and issues you support, please help demonstrate that motorcycle and scooter riding is an important part of our world’s mobility landscape. Ride to your polling place, park near the entrance, and wear your riding gear when you cast your ballot. Let the other voters see you as a rider! Election day is a great day to let everyone know you “Ride to Vote, and Vote to Ride”! So record your vote, and let your riding actions be seen. And spread the word with ‘I Rode’ and ‘Vote to Ride’ stickers" http://www.ridetowork.org/vote-to-ride-november-4t h |

We don't have polling places in most of Wa state anymore, it's vote by mail in most counties. I rode my Uly to the firestation ballot box - does that count? Whatever the outcome, I think most of us are dreary of the whole endless election process, and ready for more comedy of a different kind. |

+1 Jammer... "Casting ones ballot solely for a motorcycle friendly candidate is wrong on so many levels. This country has so many issues of dire consequence proportions, our motorcycle rights are miniscule in comparison. Now, that does not mean we do not hold our elected officials feet to the fire on our concerns." We really do have bigger fish to fry. I predict we will not see any legislation of any consequence regarding firearms. There just won't be time. Let's talk about so-called "clean coal" instead. I'm goin' riding too. |

Liberal democrat, conservative republican-- Two sides of the same coin. Each party is about money and reelections. You dont really think they care about what we think do you? Just look at the Wall street bail out, they kept saying that the public will's it. Well I dont personally know ANYONE who wanted to bail them out. And now that we have, what are they doing with the cash? Nothing, just sitting on it. |

Well, when I get off work Tuesday, I will ride by ULY to to polls and cast my vote as I always do. I pick the candidate that is the least likely to be a ****ing socialist. Sometimes its a Democrat and sometimes its a Republican. |

Sometimes its a Democrat and sometimes its a Republican. You got THAT right. Whatever we've had for the last eight years could not rightly be described as republican, that's for SURE. I'm with the fella who suggested voting out all the incumbents. It's mostly Congress, folks, and the folks in charge then will be more in charge now. |

An Irishman wrote a letter to an American newspaper stating he didn't understand the problem with Americans picking a candidate. "You have a lawyer who's married to a lawyer and then you have a true war hero that's married to a woman who own's a beer distributorship. I don't understand the dilemma!?" |

You guys must be math challenged. The only party taxing the middle class is the trickle down party, the one that's been increasing the size of government for the past 8 years. Wake up and think for yourselves for once. No way does reducing taxes of the zillionairs ever mean things being better for 98% of the rest of us. If it did, then why has the jobs situation been so bleak for the past 8 years and only gotten worse the longer Bush has been in office. You Fox Noise folks can't see the real Socialism in front of your eyes. Alaska is about as Socialist a state as there is in the U.S. and that hag Palin has been in charge of it but talking as if her mouth isn't just full of shiite. Wake up guys, Repubs always say one thing and do the other. We need very smart folks in Washington, not mental retards like Bush and Palin and that half dead McCain. |

OK, one more thing. You want real change in this country? Ignore the popular vote that allows people to whine "we were disenfranchised", and get an amendment ratified that splits a state's electoral votes among the top three parties for that state. Now there's a fair distribution of votes to determine a president. I'm feelin' disenfranchised year after year here in CA while our millions of Red votes are neutralized and all CA's electoral votes go to the same Blue party that is running this state into the ground... |

Well, I just found out that I won't be riding to the polls. My wife is having a "Procedure" done tomorrow, and she won't be able to drive for the rest of the day, due to the anesthetic she'll be getting. So, I'll be driving her in the car. I will get to the polls, though, and vote against a few horses' asses. Living in Massachusetts, there's no shortage of them to vote against. |

Speaking of 2nd amendment rights: http://www.nrapvf.org/ Remember, you have a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. No such right to ride a motorcycle. If we let Government take away one, what will keep them from taking away the other. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1579372/Ban -motorcycles,-safety-expert-says.html http://www.bikernewsonline.com/2007/12/philippines -to-ban-motorcycles.htm http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/238147_motorcy cle26.html |

That unemployment thing interests me . . . I am getting 2 or 3 calls a month for jobs (I'm not going anywhere till June 2010) and am amazed at how much work there is. I'd say it was NYC but the last call I had was from LA. . . maybe construction is just that much better than other fields. Here's what it's looked like in the years I've been working . . . you can see why the current numbers don't look bad to me.
