I won't say who I cast the ballot for except to say it sure wasn't for McFailin.

It doesn't matter for whom you choose to vote, just so long as you do! . |

I voted yesterday, too! I voted to ride my XT in 37° F temperatures. I should have worn my electric vest, but it was still fun. |

"Posted in this section because..." Because he's angry, confused, and seeking approval - which is okay by me. I just wish it were somewhere else. |

Hey! I'm voting again this morning! It's 23°F out, and I'm going to ride my XT to work. It's supposed to be near 60° this afternoon. |

Watch out for the black ice. For the last two years I've pushed the limit on riding to work in the am when it's this time of year and found the roads to be pretty slick. Not a good feeling to be sideways at 50 mph! |

I am in Floriduh, so I get to vote more than once. I voted five times this week. The Ducati won all five times, but the Uly will win this weekend! |

As a motorcyclist, be sure you cast votes for those candidates who won't try to tell us what's good for us. They just might decide that motorcycles of a specific size are "too dangerous" or that they burn too much fossil fuel and before you know it, they are banned. Think I'm kidding? Read this: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=980 1E5DC1339F933A05755C0A960958260 How long will it be before the liberals decide that motorcycles are a wasteful, environmentally unfriendly, dangerous mode of entertainment and ban them? Cast your vote, but THINK about the consequences. |

I am of a similar stripe as you, Chad... but it seems like that is a very specific issue more related to co-op covenant law rather than motorcycles. Thanks for the heads up though! I will choose my retirement community carefully! I do not plan on trading my scoot for a wheelchair any time soon. A sidecar maybe... hmmm...

Of course, Chad, if gun rights were in the radar, I would be echoing you 10x. Uh... Motorcycle content: it will be in the upper 70s here today. This morning it was 40. Hard to dress for! But I voted with my wrist. LOL |

Yes...gun laws are at stake too. Reminds me of this picture: Remember, gun control is hitting what you aim at. |

Per the article Chadhargis gave us a link to: "The noise was a little too much for them, and they were afraid to cross the street with a motorcycle around." If I was suicidal, I couldn't think of a better place to cross the street than a community of 70 and 80 year olds driving around. I do not presume to know the intent of Chadhargis' post, but do you REALLY think that this group of bored senior citizens and the attorney who represents them is a group of 'liberals' trying to take away your individual rights? Do you? Seems quite the opposite, in fact... Conservative; 1. disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change. Liberal; 4. favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, esp. as guaranteed by law and secured by governmental protection of civil liberties. Were it not for certain 'liberals' you so callously speak of, sir, we'd all still be singing 'God Save the Queen'. Post your whim, but THINK about the consequences. |

You invoke Adolf Hitler?! Really? Alarmist, dramatic, and wholly unnecessary. Not to mention insulting to anyone even remotely tied to the horrors of the Holocaust. |

Not to mention insulting to anyone even remotely tied to the horrors of the Holocaust. I am remotely tied to the horrors of the Holocaust - and I choose to do all I can to ensure it is never repeated. Never Again. It began with intrusive government controls, accepted by the sheeple. The graphic shockingly makes that historically accurate link. The same intrusion makes our Ulys run hot, and surge badly at lower RPMs. There. Threw in some more motorcycle content. |

Casting ones ballot solely for a motorcycle friendly candidate is wrong on so many levels. This country has so many issues of dire consequence proportions, our motorcycle rights are miniscule in comparison. Now, that does not mean we do not hold our elected officials feet to the fire on our concerns. But vote who is best for the nation and your issues. Contact them, make a small donation, meet them for coffee or at a public meeting they hold and introduce yourself. Volunteer on their campaign even. Then, among other issues, let them know how you stand on motorcycle issues asking for their consideration in representing those issues when they become appropriate during their work. ~jammer |

For all of you 'Super-Anal Uber-Politically Correct' Goy out there - when faced with any questionable Jewish material (to your way of thinking, of course)....just ask yourself, "what would Mel Brooks think about this?" LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu2NqfISm9k . |

For those of you that worry about your right to bear arms and figure that Republicans are in your corner and Democrats are not. Right now your beloved Bush is working overtime to relax environmental rules governing clean air, and water and which directly affects the environment that sportsmen hunt in. I have nothing against guns, and own a pistol, shotgun and a few rifles. Chad, your thoughts on gun control is pretty lame if you think that your side has all the answers. The only answer they have is to pander to the NRA, just like they pander to the anti-abortion people (but never do anything about it), and pander to the religious right all the while laughing at them behind their backs. |
