So I had just finished up meeting the kids and wife at Sonic after my 415 mile round trip journey to Louisville when I saw a familiar profile.

A Uly.

It was dark, cold and wet. I had to meet the lunatic hardcore enough to voluntarily ride tonight.

You see, I'm a Buell stalker. If I see a Bueller out and about, I MUST talk to them.

So I chit chat, explained that I owned a Uly as well, and inquired as to whether the rider frequented BW. He does.

I met Natron in the wild. Nice guy.

Good to meet you Nate. Sorry for the creepiness. : D

I have freaked out and stalked my fair share of Buellers, perhaps thats why they never sign up after I tell them! : )

For a second I thought it was going to be some guy saying "who do you think you are taking up an entire parking spot with a bike when it's raining"

Then it turned out to be Ft_Bstrd. That's like meeting a stalker and an internet celebrity all in one

I'm sure I'll see you around. Hopefully I can make it to March Badness this spring.

The way you named this thread I thought you got the hots for one that you had been chasing. Did that crazy bstrd tell you what he was doing out in the rain?

I swear, some of the people that ride these Ulysses motorcycles are retarded.

Come on Etennuly- there is getting caught in the rain and choosing to ride in the rain... and neither addresses lightning riding or other stupidness.... when i lived in the Northwest you had no choice... mind you it lightning and thundered about once a year ....but geez... jumping the gun aren't we.... I have been caught in the rain at least 5 times this summer.... stupid hurricane/tropical storms blow in from nowhere sometimes... 20min's later it is sunny and muggy.... but I'm riding and you are home worried it might rain ... what aren't the odds lightning and lottery the same...

Ft_B... we all have wanted to stalk other Buellers and in some cases it is gladly welcomed just don't run people off the road to tell them about BWB...JK... I have met some great other buellers by whoa hey is that yours out front... me too.... you don't have to tell them you have been two cars behind them for the last 30miles....

cheers-pete

I ride rain or shine every day to work, and have had many people dumbstruck to see me roll into the office in a downpour. I've yet to meet any creepy guys waiting after work next to the uly though

I ride the Uly to work pretty much rain or shine as well. Everything except for ice.

The guy riding behind Etennuly doesn't have to worry about rain, because his fairing blocks so much rain that the pavement dries behind him. (at least last time I saw him it looked like it would)

OH 4_pete_sake! I was harassing the two characters in this thread!

I ride year around for work and pleasure, and in the rain way more frequently than some. I have been 'stalked' by Ft_b and his HID system more than once. And I also go out of my way to meet fellow Buellers on the road.

I'm apologize if I offended you.

Etennuly- sorry I think I came home from work in a crappy mood honestly and almost didn't post after reading... but the phone rang and I quick hit submit .... I was surprised at your remark originally and figured you for the type you have now discribed.... again sorry and thanks for the unnecessary apology...

Here, here to Fall TN riding .... ain't it great.... wish I was on the East like you and not the west.. but I just found the Ozarks.... soooo

Cheers-pete

I didn't get to see the HID system because Ft_b was in his car!

If he had been riding, he would have ended up much later to his appointment at Sonic with the wife and kids.

I need me some HID

HID's are the best mod for the money.

They also prolong the life of the headlight housing coating.

I have found the Super White HID high beam and Super Yellow HID low beam the perfect combination.

I haven't fixed the damage on the back of my helmet and jacket from those death rays beaming on them while on a trip to MBIV! They did keep me warm though.

Nathan, we are good, apology unneeded. What we do need is to get together for a ride. We could plan a trip some weekend day to meet in Ft_b's neighborhood and mess things up there for a while(let's not tell him though. This would be a good test of his Uly stalking ability.)

Etennuly-I'd be honored to join some of the more famous faces I see on this beloved forum...and baiting the stalker would be a hoot...

Next spring I am planning a trip your way and I will certainly give you a heads up (PM) for routes and company.... but between now and then, let me know when and where in MUSIC CITY and I'll play...

Cheers-Nathan(pete)

Blackstone, Yazoo, Big River.. can't resist a good micro... name your poison...

Even if the Uly goes, I'm not.

And it'll only be temporary.

BFL??? I hope that means "big f-ing laugh" cause that is what I'm doing and the wife is starting to wonder...

I might wait a little longer to tell her I have to go ride to nashville or the smokies ... for some twisty stalking...

Thanks for the laughs.... keep me in mind!!!

Wait... I'm not the only person who quotes that movie all the time?

Why do submarines always have a guy named Jonesy?

I'll go riding with you guys anytime. Route sheets mandatory, as talk a big game, then ride a slow one.

I recommend that you reserve that statement to a point that you can instill exceptions. Ft_b really likes the burrito platters at lunch and dinner breaks!
