You mean that L shaped bracket? A piece of scrap aluminum and drill 2 holes, your good to go.

Anyway, I am digging for the number, will get back to you if I find it.

Interesting . . . . it's been posted on HD-net since before the bike was introduced.

Did they TELL you they did not have the parts book?

That seems quite odd.

If you need the diagram or anything let me know . . .I have every Buell parts manual, from 1987 through 2009, if I can help.

Court, my dealer told me the same thing, they didn't know the XT was in the same book as the X.

Interesting.

I'll have to check . . but I **think** last year the XT entered mid-year and was not included in the 2008 book. There **may** have been an updated book issued.

I'm finding the 2009 manual quite useful as it has the X / ST / XP all in the same manual.

In the event that happens, where a dealer can't get a part number, it would be prudent to simply ask them to call their SPOC rep and request the number.

Even if your dealer does not have access to the internet and HD-net there is no reason a Buell dealer should not be able to access a part within minutes.

A couple of my local dealers have prominently displayed Buell parts and accessories catalogs which I am finding quite costly to me personally as I have a "if I can see it I am more likely to order it" syndrome.

Jeff, at Danbury, has the catalog tethered to a large and impressive display of Buell parts and accessories and it's not only a great looking display but works well for him.

Liberty has a most impressive collection of Buell stuff right there before your eyes.

Thanks for the info. This stuff is helpful.

Court:

I do need help. Can you please post the part number of the lower headlight bracket in your parts book? The one Froggy gave is the one I have and is different from the XT part I looked at in the showroom.

The dealer told me they did not have the '09 parts book. I looked at the '08 and you are correct, there is no XT info.

Thanks,
Mark

There is a revised 08 book that has the both the X and XT. The part numbers end with "YA". The 12X only book ends with "Y"
