Does anyone else have the clutch cable hanging directly in front of the clock?? It bugs me that in whatever position I'm in (short of standing) I can't see around the stupid cable! Do I need to re-route it somehow, or is it in there properly?

Whenever I lean back it's in front of clock.
Mine looks like this:

Mines there too.....although I don't think I've ever had the odometer set to clock. The only time I worry about seeing it is when the fuel light is on

All things are normal, unless you are fortunate enough to have a Bazootie. (search function !)
I use a pair of small nylon zip ties to pull the cable slightly towards the crossbar.

Velcro strap will cure that.

Mine from the factory was bad, so I zip tied it out of the way. Now with a new clutch cable (last one broke and was fixed under warranty) it is worse. I can't see the LCD at all. Back to the zip tie method.

After I installed Renthal Mid rise handle bars, I was able to push the excess cable down past the triple clamp. Now I have an unobstructed view of the trip meter.
