Are the part numbers for the white Police bodywork (flyscreen and airbox cover) available by now? Thanks for any information. Ride safe, Werner

If someone can just get me the part # for the XP Police Parts Catalog... I'll buy one, and we'll all be good to go.

I'll even put it on PDF for us.

EDIT:
I've tried to guess what it might be (Chicago's website) ... any suggestions??

I've tried 99575-09YP, 09Y, 09YA...nope!

Web site blurb ""production of the 2009 Ulysses Police is scheduled to begin in August 2008.""

Perhaps, the XP is included in the standard '09 Parts Catalog

99575-07Y 2007 BUELL ULYSSES PARTS CATALOG
99575-08YA 2008 BUELL ULYSSES PARTS CATALOG

That's close, Court...but IIRC our order for an XP demo bike lists it as "birch white", a-la HD police bikes...

Ours is scheduled to ship 10/14 (the bike) - hoping the police supplemental (I can only assume they'll do it the same way as the HD police bikes, given the different colors, lighting/siren wiring, etc) will follow shortly. Worst case, I'll take some body pieces off and see if they have a PN sticker, LOL.

>>>I can only assume they'll do it the same way as the HD police bikes

That'd be inaccurate. The cop bike parts are integrated in the XP catalog. The will be no supplement.

All the strobes and light bars, as an example, are found on pages 198 and 199. There are 3 different part numbers for various combinations of red-blue lights.

And you are right about the colors . . . I've only reproduced a single page there. But if you looked at page 128 and 129 you'd find all the Birch White tank covers (M1224.1AUMCW) and the Black tank covers (M1224.1AUMW) for the XP cop bikes.

On pages 132 and 133 you'd similarly find the various windscreen and fairing options. Again, the birch white (M12601.1AUMCW) and midnight black (M12601.1AUMW) are included.

The key is the model identifier which is "DB".

You'll find things like the siren/lighting control module on 124 and a section devoted to the XP wiring harness.

It's a nicely thought out bike and has had a lot of thought go into it.

Thanks guys. I have tried the part number for the windscreen at Chicago HD, but it is unknown. Maybe they have not updated their inventory list yet. Will try again in 4 to 5 weeks after my return from Rehab. Ride safe Werner

Would have helped it I'd posted the right stuff . . . these are the part numbers for the XP bodywork. I'm also tossing up the photo of the various dealer kits. There are separate detail pages for all of these.

Hopefully this sheds some light . . .

Hmmm...I think I need LED turn signals on *my* handguards. : )

I don't really miss my FLHP for the FLH part, but I do miss it for the P part...it's a great feeling when folks DIVE out of your way in their cages, when they see you in their mirror!

I am curious, though, how they work the switchgear to add a pursuit switch (lighting), and siren switch. There's only so much real estate on those housings...

I'll let you know. There is a page dedicated to the XP handlebars and controls and I've got the switches coming. It looks to me like there is only a single additional switch and it appears to be for the lights. I presume the siren controls from the radio head like it does on the Motorola Mara-Trac I have in the car.

I would love to put L.E.D. turn signals in the hand guards.

Any guess what manufacturer they use? Cudas and TIR-3s are available in pretty much all colors - red, blue, amber, white, green....should just be a matter of getting the mounts, wiring, and sourcing your (our) own lightheads : )

Only reason I ask about switchpod mounted siren controls is, the FLHP (and AFAIK current HD police bikes) had not only yelp on the "other" side of the rocker-button horn switch (push for normal horn, pull for siren air-horn), mounted below the switch housing (a HUGE button that you CAN'T miss, been thinking of getting that setup for my S2), and on/off wail in place of the factory horn button. The only non-switch-housing siren part is the PA system, via a handheld mic. Looks like the Uly uses either the same, or a very similar, 100W whelen siren speaker though.

The right switch housing held the 'pursuit' slide switch for lighting control with 2 positions (most departments want them wired for one position = all lights, and the other for front/side lights only so nobody gets blinded in parade duty).

I'd suspect the Uly would use the blank spot I have on my '06s right switch pod...but the new bikes have heated grip controls in that spot. <shrug> Time will tell, our demo is scheduled to ship 10/14...
