I'm thinking about upgrading form the 2610 to the 2820 and looking for a clean antenna solution. Anyone have any pictures of their XM antenna mounts? I know Maximum put his under the airbox cover but I'm not removing the exhaust servo, so I don't believe that's an option. Tipsy |

I have my attached to the topcase with dual-lock. Not the most elegant, but it works well. |

Froggy, is that antenna bracket integrated with your Zumo bracket? It appears it's on the same Ram ball??? Or is it something you fabricated? Tipsy |

Tipsy: I have the very bracket in that photo and I did not use it. Let me know if you want it and I can drop it by the Ear or get it to you this afternoon. It's an elegant solution that mounts to the bracket that holds the Zumo. I bought it cause it was so darn cool and ended up mounting my antenna to the side cases and it works flawlessly. Just did the headlights this morning and am working on the horn at the moment. The horn project may get aborted as it's turning into a bit more work to do it the way I'd like to. Court |

Thanks both Court and Froggy...but I'm not using a Zumo. I currently have a SP 2610 and I'm going to upgrade to the 2820. I am however looking for a similar solution that keeps the antenna very close to the unit and allows for quick removal so I can toss it in the car if desired. Tipsy EDIT: On closer inspection, I might be able to use that bracket with the 2820. No hurry though, Court. I haven't bought the 2820 yet. (Message edited by tipsymcstagger on September 23, 2008) |

I'll be there but I'm taking the subway tonight. Its got the same part number there too Thanks Froggy...I noticed that just after I posted...edited to reflect so. Tipsy |

I forgot I had to teach a class (I do it once a semester for Columbia Engineering students) tonight. You guys flip a coin . . . Tipsy has first call if he needs it, if he's not needing it yet I'll get it to you Scally. I'm in Westchester 3 or 4 times a week. You can have it, I no longer need it. |
