Absolutely NOTHING has broken, and it starts without drama every time. Even the Diablo Stradas have life left.
I did change the seat for a 2006 low seat that was modified by Spencer, and added the Gen II Shifter and Brake Pedals from Precision Engineering (because they're beautiful) and, of course a Bazootie. I'm also working on my own aux. light brackets, but they're still in process.
I have a few more mods planned to make the bike more personal, but it's pretty damned close right from the Factory.

Did Spencer change the seat to red? I am looking to get a seat turned blue on my SS.

No; A local Upholsterer did the rear section red for me.

What in the world is a Bazootie?

You make me realize that I've been neglecting my '07 X. She is just north of 6k now...

Thanks for sharing the good news!

A Bazootie is a highly technical, fully machined, precision, bore fitted, limited edition, clutch cable retainer. Made in the USA by one of the bestest Bueller's known.

There is one visible on the right side of Crusty's picture. It is on the cross bar of the handle bars. It locates the clutch cable in such a way as to render it 'no longer in the way of the odometer'. An excellent device at any price. It cannot be found in any store or on TV. Ya either got it......or ya don't.

Thank you! I've seen the Bazootie mentioned on here several times, but no one ever told me what it was, lol. Looks like it's only for bars with a crossbar, so I'll just have to live without one : (

If you have a Bazootie you are one of the chosen few (as I am).

Nice. Thanks for the report.

How was the seat modified?

Spencer uses a medical grade foam and gel pad. If you go to www.greatdaytoride.com he gives a better description of what he does. I had sent him the '06 Low seat from my Uly, and when I traded the bike in on my XT, I put the stock tall seat back on and kept the Low seat.
Wachusett Seat Covers (a local auto upholstery shop) replaced the orange rear section with the red that's on it now.
