Anyone ever pull the power off the 120W/12V power supply in the dash to power the lights? I haven't done anything yet other than just hand tighten the lights in place to see what they'll look like. I have a relay. Would that help to wire in?

I did... it sure simplified things and works fine. I drilled a hole in the aluminum housing that houses all the wiring under the fairing and put a switch in. The switch allows no auxiliary lights, both aux. lights or just one aux. light. Thus I have the option of still using the power supply for other things. |

I redesignated the cigarette jack lead to power the running lights in my turn signals. The power jack now gets its power directly from the Centech fuse box so it's hot all the time. Tipsy (Message edited by TipsyMcStagger on September 01, 2008) |

One fly in the ointment -- Most beam patterns have a designated top and bottom on the lamp. I don't think your sideways mounting will provide an ideal beam pattern; most of the light will be too low and too high. |

I hear ya. Worse case, I make brackets to mount them flat. |
