Buell Demo day at Danbury HD today, checked out the 09s. Didn't get a chance to demo the Ulys as they all got taken. Here are some things I noticed that haven't been mentioned.

They have a new kick stand on the 09 X, the foot is effing huge! It looks like Tiger woods can use it as a putter in an emergency. Good luck sinking in the mud now...

It looks bigger than the one on the 08 XT. Forgot to compare it to a 09 XT. : (

The new pegs sure look grippier (is that a word?), but I am not sure if they really are, as it’s been a year since I last Uly'ed.

The engine cases are blacked out like the other XB's, but the frame is still grey like always while the XB's have a black frame.

Oh yea, thank you Danbury HD for another great event!

Froggy- Here's a photo of my 07 footpeg next to yours of the 09. I A/B'ed them in my local dealer; the 09's are definitely grippier. The "nubs" on the footpeg surface are sharper-edged and the finish is anti-slip.

Heck, it's the same peg!
You could take a dremel tool
and make the old pegs twice as
sharp as the new ones.

To me it appears there is an Angle on the nubs on the 09, higher in the proximal sides

Pauly- On second look, I think you're right. The angle on the nubs would tend to keep your foot from slipping off towards the outside end of the pegs.

Are those pix from a 2009? I'm asking because it looks like it's a black bike. The X and XT, according to Buell's website, will not come in black for 2009. *shrug*
