Been away for a bit with the Race job

Anyone determined if Gobi bags can be used with the new "Police/Outdoors" Racks?

Thanks

Gobi's ***should*** fit the standard Buell Journey racks.

I fitted my Buell case to my brother's 950 Adventure and it fit fine, just reversed. I believe the KTM case is the Gobi IIRC.

Since the critical mount issue is the passenger peg clearance with the Journey mounts I can't answer for sure, one of these days I'd like to try it.

FT shared that a H&B Tech told him they would not work with the Standard Racks as you pointed out due to the reversed mounting position.

Still wondering

Think I'll go check out some KTM dealers tomorrow... Bet I could do a trial fit of the KTM case to my Buell, the KTM guys seem a LOT more easy going than HD people.

I have the Gobi's on my 06 standard racks. The rear footpegs must be in the down position before installing the bags if you want to use them. I am not sure how they work out with the passengers legs since they are more of a box shape. I will have my wife give it a try and let you know how it works out. I should be getting the gobi top case this week. Hope it fits as well.

RKC

Any issues with the Gobis?

Will not be using passenger pegs for the trip up the ALCAN, so that does not seem to be an issue.

Any challenges getting the Gobis to mount on the Buell Racks?

Thanks

I will get some pic's up as soon as I can.
The bags fit the buell mounts fine. They do mount backwards.
No issues with the bags so far. I have been using them for the past 3 months.

Rkc, great looking bike! Are those XT plastics?

Looks like a suitable alternative to Journeys to me since the original mounts could stay. Thanks for the pix, never got off my butt to check KTM dealers this last w/e...

Rkc00 how much of a size difference do you think there is between the stock journey bags and the gobis (both inside and out)? Thanks
