Ok - for all you Avon users (that would be the tires - not the 'skin so soft' stuff) What pressures do you run for the best wear ? I Plan to air them down a bit for the softer stuff, but what do you recommend for the Tarmac ? Thanks in advance for the council. |

I ran for a little bit at 40F/42R and that was WAY too much pressure. Good for highway, but a bad ride and once I got to the twisties, the front end shuddered (due to the tread and too much pressure). I have always ran that high of pressure and never had a problem on any other tire. I have found the stock pressures to be the best all around. 33F/36R. I have got 5000 miles on my current rear Distanziaand the center wear bars are just showing. This is a 50/50 mix of long highway rides and twisty back road riding. There was some two up thrown in there too...but when I think about it..my long highway trips, I packed more than what my passenger weights. |

Michael1 - Thanks for the response. I'll start @ 33/36 & go from there. My bikes have ranged from 44-32 recommended tire pressure - need a wall chart! j |
