Anyone tried to mount either the TT or SS seat on an Uly?

Thanks

I don't know if anyones' done it yet but I know it can be done.

If Steve could put a Uly tail on his TT (plus an XBR fairing to create the Ulybolt) then surely a TT tail will go on a Uly. They share the same frame.

Edit: Unless you mean just the seat sans tail section. In that case "I don't think so Tim" : )

Looks like you can mix and match seats as well as tail sections.

Have bought a TT Seat and are planning to order some tail section pieces.

Time will tell I guess.

Thanks

are the actual tail section "frame rails" the same? i thought i read somewhere the rails were the same, only the tail section was different. tail section meaning the very back piece that bolts to the frame rails with the brake light and stuff attached to it....

The TT side rails do not have a place to mount the passenger pegs.

More to come

I will take some detailed photos for you guys. The STT has a very different tail section, only a very few bits are shared with the Uly. Pegs and mounting are totally different.

The TT we have been viewing at our local Dealer does not have a provision for mounting passenger pegs, however the SS does.

The TT side supports look to be different from the Uly as does the rear loop.

Our TT seat arrived last evening, and we will be going to the dealer on Saturday to order the side supports, and look at a Uly to see if the rear loop will mount to the TT side supports. As noted earlier, we may need to order the TT/SS rear loop.

Thanks

Just did a SS to Uly rear clip conversion.

I had to replace the entire rear of the bike, side rails undertrays cheese grater section. Including the rider peg mounts. About a grand worth

The pegs are different. On the SS the passenger pegs are mounted to the side rails the ulys come off of the rider peg mounts. You probably could get away with out changing the pegs on your uly.

The battery tray ecm mount was different too.

any other questions post them up I will try to help

This is what you SHOULD see looking at the understand of a TT. The two bolts that, on the TT, secure the "number plates" are used to secure the rear pegs on other models.

Once you get the parts have at it... nothing terrible difficult. It is the details that are tough. Routing the wiring harness so you won't get a kink or a rub thru. Brake lines same deal. The wiring harnesses are different lengths. I had to add length to my harness yours will probably be too long. Do able but stupid stuff you run into.

I would recommend getting both service manuals as some of the locations for things are not very apparent. I made multiple trips to the dealer to study their uly and were things were put and routed.

I forgot different tail lights too. different latch assembly for the seat....oh on and on.

I think I spent 400 bucks on getting the uly rider and passenger peg set up so you won't need to do that.

My pics are up!
There is a ton, so feel free to sift through them. I can always take more, so ask away. Oh yea, you will see in the under seat pics that there is quite a bit of aftermarket junk wiring added on, with more to come. Somehow it hasn't caught fire! : )
