So I learned from my dealer today that my 06 Uly's latest breakdown was a failed fuel pump(my ignition fuse blew repeatedly). After a bit of research, I can only assume it was due to the wires wearing thru and shorting out. Does anyone know if the replacement fuel pump is modified/corrected to prevent this happening again? Thx dudes

I don't know if the replacement is new as in different but if it isn't...

Have the dealer (or do it yourself for peace of mind) take a metal file and sand paper and smooth out the sharp edges where the wires rub on the pump.

One clever BadWeBer put a couple small zip ties around the wires which keep them from touching the edges.

I wish I had thought of that while I had my pump out but so far my thick wall adhesive shrink wrap fix is still working like a charm.
