I know this has been covered before in an infinate number of places...but too lazy to go through search. Got 5K out of the Sync's, what can one expect for Distanzia's on a Uly - 90% hiway - "normal" speeds (65-75) I know there are alot of variables but just need range - 4-5K, 5-6K ??

I got around 4500 on the 2 sets I used. I tried to get a 2 for 1 on the front but the front wore really weird. I normally run with bags full and I only tip the scale at 160 so a heavy rider with agressive riding style will reduce the tire life of this tire. I had different results with performance offroad than City. Offroad I run around 26 PSI and 38 on road. These tires rock on the twisty roads!! Sticky as hell but if your doing some slab runs try a different tire.

Thanks Rotorhead - Helpfull info. I'm also 170# with my gear on (160 naked, but don't usually ride that way - upsets the neighborhood dogs) City seemed to think they 'washed out' on gravel roads - reducing pressure, as you suggest, should help with that. Going to do a run from Olympia to Deadhorse next year - I'll give 'em a try - not too many other options for the tire deprived Uly. I avoid the slab whenever possible - but whats the down side of these tires in that kind of riding ??

5K on set of tires seems very low to me. I would insure that tire pressure was at a higher level. Low tire pressure leads to lots of wear. I have 3K on my Syncs, and it looks like I have only taken off about 25% of the tread.

I am not a hooligan, ride back roads at 65 MPH, and live in a place where all the roads are relatively straight (boring!)

Do to the 160 profile the chicken strip will be about 3 inches wide running slab. It is the hard accel / decel that will wear the tire out faster. I would run this tire for a run up the Hual road or the Cassiar Hwy. Now fully loaded for a long trip I would run a pressure the is balanced for the different off on pavement you'll run into.

Got 3k on the rear syncs. at 4200 the front is weakening. 300 plus lbs, no straight roads here, chicken strips at 1/4" to zero on some runs. Yes I look like "Donkey Kong" going for a spin.

Next set will be the Avon Storms or Mich pilot road 2.

I currently have around 4500 miles on my Distanzia's. This is my first set and I'll continue to run them, as I am getting more mileage than with the D616's I used to run.

THe 4500 miles, includes 70% of highway riding (trips from Cleveland Ohio to Deal's Gap area X3), 25% of severe on-road abuse (the edges are blued and glossy currently from my last ride) with 5% of off road.

I like them...the only thing I don't like, is the way they screw with the ODO and speedo...but I have my GPS for true measurement.
