Hey there XT guys,

I just hit 5K miles and did my service. As I was checking the MOM, the line for tires came up for tires check. Holy Moly! I have a few faint cords. Here is where my saga with the tires debockle continues.

I have a flat at 600mi. HD serviced and replaced with a Scorpion Sync. We all know that we have Diablo Stradas. I took it back and had them fix it. "Put a Diablo Strada back on!" HD said okay and put a Diablo T on the rear. I have had handling issues ever since. Both ADV guys and Badweb folks have been very helpful in my suspension settings being that Owners MAnual is not written for the XT and leads you the wrong direction.

Anyway, there are no Pirelli Diablo Stradas in the ATL area. I am putting on Diablo Ts on in a match set fresh. I am hoping for a nice fine line ride home with new rubber both matched and pretty. I have just spent 4500 miles chasing other settings thinking that the tires were correct. I double checked HD as far as the tire saying Diablo. I now know that there is actually a difference!

XT riders beware. Not all HD/Buell shop really want to work with you on the Buells. Other than Stone Mt. HD here in Atlanta, the others have been my reluctant students here in this matter.

We need to work out the bugs for Buell and then document the information in one thread for the new comers.

Where is everyone else on mileage and service intervals? The bikes can only be about 6 months old or so. Mid year bike model with no service manuals available. If I could only talk Buell into a JOB.

Anyone know anyone?
Thanks for listening to my rant!

Unfortunate but true. Most dealers suck, but there are a few good ones, Stone mountian being one of the few good ones.

99490-08YA 2008 BUELL XB SERVICE MANUAL Retail Price:$60.00

Make sure you get the ones with the "A" on the end, those are the revised ones for the XT.

"mileage"

ITYF:

The Diablo T's are a sticker tire. Theoretically less life than the harder stradas, but I did see fat's stradas show cords @ 1000ish miles.

I have had no problems with Earl Smalls. They h ave always welcomed me. I have had a great experience in Conyers the sister dealerships of Stone Mountain as well. Stone Mountain well...seems like alot have had better experiences than me.

Have been on this site for almost as long as it has been around, and the same thing is being said over and over "HD dealers ......"

Has not changed and probably won't.

Get the Parts Manual and Service Manual, a $100 tool set from Sears and go to it.

Next set try Metzler Z-6. I like them better than the Pirelli. Much better in wet and a friend says better over the tar snakes.

I ran one Strada on the rear with a Sync on the front last January because Syncs were back ordered forever.

Ran two D-616's back there to 7500 miles, two Syncs to 6500 miles.

The Strada handled funny and was gone by 4k...

I'll stick with Syncs until something amazing comes along.
