Stopped and saw Andy on his last day at H-D Appleton. Sad to see him go, what a great guy. Didn't realize they had the 08 red uly xt there. Wife says might as well buy this year, but I am curious what comes out for the 09's...which could be announced later next week? Anyways, is it rude to ask a dealership if they would include te 08xt beta and 1k service with the bike? I see there is a dealer fee and shipping/prep fee. Anybody ever dealt with this? | ||

Never hurts to ask, the worst thing that could happen is that they would say no. The beta patch is free, no reason for them not to do it. I had the patch done, I would recommend that you insist on it. | ||

Wait a week, see whats new with the 09's. From there we decide 08 or 09  There is usually a prep fee and destination charge, but play around with the numbers and negotiate. You might be able to get the 1k thrown in too. | ||

Yeah Froggy, That's what I am waiting for.. next week to see if anything new pops up. I heard for the ulysses series just new color. I'll ask, sure it can't hurt. I wasn't quite sure the 08Beta patch was free since a dealership has to take the time and money to pay someone to do it. Not all dealerships would do it for free since there is nothing in writing yet...just what I heard. |
