I finally had the chance to ride a 2008 Uly. I was hang'n out at the dealer shoot'n the bull with one of the saleswomen and asked if I could ride the Buell. It was no problem. I went to get my gear and came back to find they had the 1125R pulled out and ready to go. WTF? I explained I wanted to ride the Uly to compare it to mine. I kinda got a funny look but they said it was no biggie. The first thing I did was head across the parking lot to the MSF/Riders Edge range. On my way I tried to pull a wheelie. It came up a little but it didn't pull like my 06. I then headed to the "Box" to check the turning radius. All I can say is WOW! Its night and day between the two. I played that game for sometime and then when back after the wheelies. My 06 has a race can,ecm & open air box so its not a apples to apples comparison, but my 2006 would spank the 08 and send it to bed with no dinner. I will say that a new triple tree is on my short list of things to get and install. I'm very happy with my 06 and it looks like I will be riding it for a good bit longer. I still want a 1125RX | ||

I wonder if the wiring harness is different at the neck. It seems like there would be problems if not. | ||

Wolf, after my reflash on 08 XT it then ran like my 06 X.Can't comment on the turn radius.MPG went from 42-44 to 48-50. | ||

I put 47K miles on my '06 before trading it in on my '08 last january. My '08 now has almost 6K miles and it runs every bit as strong as my '06 did. The only regret is the crap fuel mileage the '08 gets....... |
