I just swapped out my pads for the Lyndall golds, 6800 miles on the originals and a bit choppy. Haven't ridden it yet.

Do the metal clips on the back of the pads have to go on the new pads, if they even fit?

This big idiot didn't bother to look and had it all buttoned up by the time I noticed.

AFAIK the clips are just anti-rattle clips and it should work fine without, just the possibility of a little chatter/noise is all.

The clips should go back on and will fit on the Lyndall pads.

Break the Lyndalls in as prescribed and you'll be pleased.
