they look like LSL sliders.

IMHO they are bad news. Known to do more damage than protect. Stick with the frame pucks.

Are those the things that transfer the force of impact directly to the engine cases?

just got back from hooters bike night and finally saw another greenville buell xb12s with the orangeish/red body work that had those on. why would you want to use something that attaches to the motor like that. wouldn't you think that it would seriously mess up the motor mounts for one and god knows what else.

i was thinking more like foot (hi-way) pegs rather than protection.

as highway peg you will have one foot high in the air and the other halfway down. Would make a good picture. The right one mounts to the upper motor mount. The left to the primary case. Ride safe Werner
