Can anyone tell me about the XT? I'm looking for an adventure bike that will be used mainly for commute rides and occasionally for longer rides with two up riding (200 miles round trip) with wife. Anyone here rode the XT with a passenger?

Just bought one 3 days ago. Already have over 900 miles on it. Really good quality ride. You will love it.

I really like the bike and my girlfriend likes riding it alot more than my HD. I have had 2 passengers and they say it comfy. you have to dial in the susspensin for the correct weight, then your good to go.

I traded my '06 Uly in on an '08 XT. I'm happy.

it's not much on the superslab cruising but up in the hills and back roads, i'm glad i got one. as far as the passenger is concerned, i tend to think there is more manuvering room on the back than on the ultra, which makes it nice getting around in the turns. you can ride more aggresive without worrying as to how the wife will hang on. i guess you just have to be there.
