After admiring the Zero Gravity screens I ordered one. I expected it to come with the 4 push fittings to just snap in place. It didnt. I also cant seem to remove them from the original screen. Do I need to order some? If so does anyone know the part number? Thanks.

Mounting Pin, Bodywork

Dick,
Here's a thread on removing the pins.

When I removed mine, I put some tape around the pin, (so not to scratch the windscreen),then with a screwdriver or fork type object, gently pry pins out. WD-40 is a good lubricant.

Alternatively just lever then out with a swiss army knife screw-driver (it has a polished smooth tip so no scratches).
Don't be too precious about them - just plastic bungs after all, and pretty tough at that.

Thanks for all the tips, I'm going to try them all. I ordered some new pins from my HD/Buell dealer yesterday but of course there are none to be had in Switzerland and they will take a minimum of ten days to get here from the US.

Hey Bienhoabob, Thanks for the thread link. I did make a couple of searches but missed that one.

Armor All or another silicone-based compound at the back of the screen where the pins fit. The pins can be GENTLY grasped with pliers and rotated/swiveled out through the front of the screen with some pressure. May seem like they won't but they will go.

I bought spares awhile back but good old BadWeB came through and convinced me to try pushing them out.

Like Johnboy777 mentioned, if he's referring to the lower threaded fastener kit, might be a good idea to consider it for your taller ZG shield. It's designed to keep the Buell Tall Shield from levering out of the flyscreen under wind pressure.
