Mine hasn't happened yet, but I've seen it done. I think it will happen soon. Got to get him off a big project and back to happy stuff.

me and the wife went down to myrtle beach this weekend and took the xt. it was nice having the hard bags opposed to the softbags on the m2. plus the fact that the side bags are bigger than the side bags on the ultraclassic(almost twice) we had what we needed for the weekend without any trouble plus the few things we picked up while we were down there. if i had a stereo and cruise control on the bike, i would have been in heaven. once you have bags, it's hard to live without them.

Bertotti: that entryway was one of the entrances to my alma mater, Dickinson College, in Carlisle, PA (home of the Carlisle bike show). Good ol' Pennsylvania limestone. Because of that picture, I want to plant Japanese maples in my yard. I rode up there on my birfday last year for the day.

And in reference to my last post:

Speaking of locks...I went for a road trip this weekend and thought the trip was about to come to a very quick end (before it began) when I was mounting the left side case.

I had the key in the lock (the lock that secures the case to the bracket) and as I spun the key, the entire lock cylinder came out of the case on the end of the key!

I was able to just stick it back in and secure it, but I haven't had a chance to look and see just exactly how it's supposed to be held in place. Each time I manipulate the key, it feels as it the cylinder is about to pop out again.

Anyone else ever have this problem?

I haven't. I wonder if there is a snap ring or something missing.
