I used to be a sedate Airhead GS guy, plodding along mile after mile to Beemer rallys all over the country. Then I heard about the Uly. Less weight, less maintenance, more power, more mpg. (Oh well, 3 out of 4 ain't bad) Anyway, I've become a textbook example of the adage "Power corrupts." No longer do I suffer indignities from those in cages who tailgate, who try to cut me off, who creep along while talking or texting on their cell phone, who don't know where they are or where they're going, of semis driving abreast for mile after mile on the interstate, etc. Open throttle. See problem get smaller in mirror. The Uly has given me zero tolerance for 4-wheel idiocy. Is there a cure short of going back to my PD? | ||

I too am suffering from the aforementioned affliction. My RoadKing is wasting away, the battery is discharging, and the gas in the tank is turning to varnish. But, I can't stop smiling. I've done more "unintentional" wheelies in the last two months than the previous 5 years! I've actually caught myself weaving in and out of the traffic cones in constructions zones, driving over curbs into fields, and making u-turns in order to find out what is down that dirt road I just passed. I've offered to go to the store for my wife, and I haven't cleaned or polished anything in so long, my fingernails are clean! Help! I've fallen (in love) and I don't want to get up! |
