Ok so last night the Uly went down (number 2 for the season) yeah yeah maybe time to find a different sport!

I just wanted to use this as an excuse to buy some different components. Like handlebars... I am 5'8" and and curious if anyone my size uses aftermarket bars that may work a little better. If so do regular dirt dike bars work? I am unsure of the dimensions.

The other more concerning issue is the left fork took a pretty good jolt and has some rash on it, is there any easy way to tell if the forks are bent?

Thanks in advance!

Chris- You can probably find some guidance on line for measuring and sizing handlebars.

If you want to be thorough, you should remove the front wheel and pull the "suspect" fork tube. You can roll it on a flat surface to see if its bent.

If it checks OK, it's a good idea to loosen the triple clamps, "wiggle" the forks, and then tighten everything back according to the shop manual. It takes a pretty good lick to bend a fork tube, but it's not that hard to misalign the whole fork assembly and this procedure will re-align it.
