i just did the square idle and the bike runs much better when it's warm, but when the bike is cold the motor still want's to jump out of the frame. can anything be done to smooth out the cold start idle? thanks, marko |

Where is your square set, front and back? On my stock '07, and after lots of experimenting, I settled in at 78Front/ 76Rear. I even tried higher values in the rear. BTW, my summer cold start up is fine - winter cold start up is a bear. I also fattened up the 1,900 and 2,400 columns 5-10% or so (in the 30-80 TPS rows) with great success. I now run 2,200 RPM though town without out the herky/jerky rodeo show. John |

Just to clarify, I do not want to give the wrong idea, here - my 1,900 and 2,400 columns remark was simply a, hey, by-the-way, here's what I discovered, comment ... it will not effect idle. However, it did, for me at least, give me better off-idle (pull-away) response as well as the ability to cruise at 2,200 or so through these small towns with 20-25MPH limits. John |
