My 06 Uly started shutting off.It acts like you just shut the key off. Twice it shut off at 30 mph, if you turn the kill switch off and then on it will fire as you catch it in gear.The next ride I rode 300 mi. with no issues. Then last ride it shut off and same deal, shut the kill switch off and on catch it in gear and it fires and goes fine. Where do I look? | ||

Check to see if the Bank Angle Sensor recall has been done. | ||

Ahh, that marvelous Bank Angle Sensor. I'm on my fourth. Evidently I lean mine too much. Maximum got to see me cycle the kill switch healed over at the apex of a tight right hander. Easy fix. | ||

Why use software at all? Just short the stupid things. That having been said, my X1 has one that hasn't ever failed in 83,000 miles and yet it still pulled the plug when I dumped the poor thing. My friend's XB12 has one that looks just like mine. Aren't they all the same part? Why are XB12x bikes having so many problems with them? | ||

I believe that they have more heat than other models. I believe that they also get more vibrations. | ||

Mine was shutting off too..the BAS had been moved ..I just bought a new BAS and plugged it in as there is no way to really check the sensor as it is an intermittent problem.....has not done it with the new one...yet... | ||

The problem is that once the part has been cooked and vibrated to death, moving it won't fix the problem. I had one fail within the first 1,000 miles. The second one failed AFTER the recall was done. Then it failed again in the new location. I hope this is the last one. The good news is that I recognize what is happening instantly. | ||

Use ECMSpy to trick the ECM into thinking the circuit is closed even though it's disconnected. Twist the wires together to permanently close the circuit. |
