Anyone apply any graphics to their Uly? I am leaning towards a tasteful checkered stripe about 2 inches wide down the front of the bike and down the tank slightly offset like some of the older Brit bikes...Anyone have any pics of their designs?

Well, How about 2 1" solid stripes down the center? Never thought about checkered stripes. Not a bad look really. : )

Offset would look nice, and i did think about that too, but the Buell badge on the airbox hindered the idea. I am very happy with the way my vinyl stripes turned out, and i haven't seen any others with them (at least on Ulys) The stripes on the airbox are a little difficult to see, but you get the idea.

Mike, that does look good!!! I may tray the checkered flag 2 inch strip offset on the tank and front plate. I will post pics once I commit. I was also thinking an American flag stripe pattern would look great but havent been able to find any..

Thanks guys. My plan was to have the seat reupholstered to add the 2 black stripes down the middle of the orange section of the seat, but haven't really given it more thought.

Hey Mike,

It would be an easy mod to mask off your seat and use some SEM vinyl paint to blacken the stripes on your seat. The same stuff is what I recently used to color my seat red. It actually holds up very well, and it's only $12 for a can of the stuff.

BTW, your bike looks great!

Thanks Max. That would work well indeed. Being that the stripes are 1" wide, I think stitching the stripes into the seat might not look so hot. I will consider the dye method for sure! Thanks for the tip! : )

Here's mine, not too original. No significance to the number, I just had it laying around. Actually wanted a "6" but they were on back order.

Maybe you should have stuck it on upside down.

Damn, my memory is as long as my . . .oh, nevermind.

But there was a photo posted on a forum somewhere, by someone, of a uly that had reflective safety tape applied to the frame. Really bright looking, diamond pattern on one side, and stripes on the other. The point being, you could get 3m reflective tape of some sort and cover the sides of the frame/fuel tank with it. It would accomplish two goals. one being the scratch protection, and two being enhanced night visability.

I can't find the f***in picture! Someone, help and old fart find whatever the hell it was I was looking for...
