I am getting ready to install a stebel horn based on the threads on the board. My question is. When I unhook the battery terminal to hook up the horn lead, does the interruption in power do any bad stuff to the ecm or any other electrical goodies on the bike. |

It will only loose your time on the clock and your trip sets. |

What he said. You're really going to like that horn! It has the ability to wake even the most oblivious morons. |

Why are you disconnecting the battery? As long as the ignition switch is off, you've got no power going to the horn anyway. Am I missing something? |

I never disconnect the power when I do these things. 98 times out of 100, it is no problem. 1 times out of 100 you weld a box end wrench between the rear rocker box and your battery on a 2000 M2. 1 times out of 100 you almost weld a wrench to something (still don't know what) that is near your alternator and the frame on a 2001 Saab 9-3 SE. DAMHIK! |

I never disconnect the power when I do these things. I never do either. 1 in 1,000,000 you have a wrench in hand and it's touching your wedding ring,,,,,,wedding subsequently touches some other metal object. Ring finger ends up with a perfect circle of blister. |

I am disconnecting the battery because I have a power lead that is supposed to go to the battery |
