Under the hood of various GM pickups currently residing in wrecking yards near you, exists a trouble lite. It lives next to the battery I believe. Most chevy owners never knew it was there, let alone used it. That's why most of them you find are in like new condition. They have an on-off switch and a 15 foot cord with a rewind wheel. They are compact, simple and have a suction cup on the lite itself. One is now attached under the seat of my '06 X. There is still room for my tools and stuff. I expect this to be handy this summer while camping or when someone breaks down at night.

Shake lite seems like the ticket. Just attach it to one of the jugs .

The only pics I can post on this site are crappy ones. The light I used is made of black plastic, has a clear dome over the bulb with a suction cup on the front of the base part of the light itself. The base of the unit is about 4X5 inches, an on-off switch and a crank handle for the reel. Theres about 15 feet of wire on the reel. I put a cig lighter type plug in on the cord and plugged it into the socket by the seat latch. I mounted it in a position that would allow me to carry both of my tool bags, a rag and a pair of summer gloves under the seat using 3 small sheet metal screws right through the pan. Sometime this week I will be shopping for an LED bulb for it. That way, when the key is in the park position, the only things hot will be the LED tail light, the 7 color rotating LED front parking light (mood lighting) and the LED trouble light.

Thanks Sleez...That looks like a cool solution...Plugs into your 12v plug and stays there charging. Always ready to go when needed. I ordered 3. One for the Uly, one for the truck, and one for the wife's car. I also like the original post. Thanks!
