Seems like every picture I see of Uly riders, are people over 40. I fit this scenario. I have my opinions on why this is true, but before I file this factoid away, I was wondering: Any young guys on a Uly? My guess is that if we do an average age, then we will be somewhere near 50. |

I am 46 been riding since I was 5. Probably have had more than 40 bikes in last 30 years. The Uly ranks top for best bike. It is in the same category as the RD400's and TT500's on the fun scale and I was in my late teens early twenties when I was riding RD's and TT's...I like the Uly more and more each ride. Now if I could just get another twenty year old girlfriend.... |

What's "young"? I'm 34 - I must be a kid, if you think the average age is 50. Woohoo! |

Below 40? Me. ChadHargis New12r Froggy(RIP) Rotorhead Spike There are many more. I think the factor is this. At 40+, comfort starts to become more important. Peak HP is less important than being able to ride all day without being a paraplegic the next day. Some of us younger lads simply figured it out sooner. Plus it's fun to see the look on peoples faces to be hounded by a giant bike with a fat old guy on it. They aren't supposed to be ridden like that, are they?

I'm 52 and have had the Uly since 2006. I have also had over 30 motorcycles and contend this is the best I've had yet. I howeverdon't think I need a 20 year old girlfriend. Like the Uly I like my women a little more mature lol. |

I am 29, had my Uly since I was 27. I ride it like it is a sportbike, or a dirt bike or a supermoto bike or a cruiser. Too young to be boring, too old to be stupid |

Wise people ride Ulysses. It's a very smart solution. But Wise does not always mean old. |

That's spot on Tipsy because your brain tells you your still the stud and then the "sir" brings you right back...life is quite an interesting journey. At 52 it's really only when you look in the mirror that you think your old......get on a motor bike, go skiing, you name it and your brain thinks your still a kid. Crazy stuff! Been ridin' since my teens and the Uly is hands down one of the best bikes I have ever had the pleasure to ride. |

I plan to live to be 120*. At 48 I'm not even middle aged yet. On the other hand, if I buy an 1125R, all bets are off. |

I'm a cranky old fart of 57, and I enjoy riding my Uly. I don't give a damn how old or young you are. If you like the Uly, buy one and ride it. If you don't, then go buy what ever blows your skirts up. |

At the risk of taking this thread in another direction...since we're talking "calendar" age vs. "perceived" age...who's got the Drummer exhaust...and how old are you? Initially, I thought I would keep the stock exhaust (I thought I'd out grown loudish pipes). But there was a Lightning at the dealership today with the Drummer can and it sounded AWESOME. Great grumble. I didn't think it was too loud, though I only heard it in the parking lot and pulling away. Tipsy (Message edited by tipsymcstagger on April 19, 2008) |

45 here. Been riding since I was 12. For me it is versatility at the things that I realistically will use the bike for: twisties both one and two up, occasional long distance trips, luggage carrying ability, light duty off hard surface fire roads and such. So far it is the most enjoyable bike that I have owned. It certainly has its faults but I'm happy with my choice. Hey FB can u post a link to that uly following uly on the Dragon video that u made? |

23. Seem to be the youngest by far. I love the Uly as an all in one bike, but have been thinking about a trade for a lightning. |

Someone asked this same question about a year ago or so. It will be interesting to see how or if the demographic has changed now that there are so many more Uly riders out there. I'm fifty for a little longer, and I couldn't agree more with the statements above about the Ulysses being the best of all of the bikes I have owned since my youth. |

Of the 9 street bikes I've owned since 1968, the Buell IS by far the best one of the lot. Oh yea: 56 here. |

Well, I'll bring up the average a bit at 65. All I have to ride with is kids. The Uly shares my time with a Multistrada 620 and Monster 800. |

Uly is my second bike in two years and I love it. I chose it over the GS Adventure. My first bike, KLR650, has been been idol for over a year now. I only take it out so it doesn't rust useless. I started riding at 49, now 51. |

Just turned 34 on Thursday. I feel like an old man sometimes, that is until I take the Uly out of the garage! Daily! |
