Nope. 1. I'd hate for a $100 set of high output Chinese headlights to start a fire that did in my $12,000 American motorcycle. 2. A large percentage of the job of any motorcycle headlight is "be seen during the day" not "see at night". Conventional (yellow) halogen bulbs do a better job of this than HIDs, especially on cloudy days. |

I can promise you that you can see my HID kits during the daytime just fine! I don't know about that company. The company I bought mine from were a little more expensive, but they had real live people on the phone. Start a fire? Yeah, like my Buell voltage regulator and stator? |

HID...you get what you pay for? Yes. If, for example, I were to buy a tire changer. I can buy a NoMar which is durable, works well and won't damage your wheels. But it's pricey. I can also get a Harbor Freight tire changer. it needs Mojo blocks and a different bar or it will make hash out of your wheels finish. Still, even if I get the necessary upgrades, it will be cheaper than the NoMar. But it will still be a flimsy P.O.S. I'm a picky bastard. When it comes to my bike, I'd rather spend a bit more and get it right, than cheap out and have to do the job over plus repairing the additional damage that the botched attempt caused. Buy a decent H.I.D. kit. If the ballast on the cheap kit takes a dump three weeks down the road, you're going to wind up spending a lot more than if you just bite the bullet now and spend a little more up front. Incidentally, I'll be getting my NoMar next month. There'll be free tire changes for Buells in Central Massachusetts after that. |

OK, I'll play the other side of the coin. I have a Chinese made LED flashlight that I bought that blows my brother in law's $250.00 SureFire out of the water (he just ordered one too). I paid $26.00 for it. Do you always get what you pay for... NO! Can you get ripped buying something cheapo... YES! Are there cheap good products out there.. HECK YES! Do I know anything about those HID's on eBay.. Heck NO. Moral of my rant: you can't judge a product by its price alone. |

I paid less than that a year ago for mine. They are some off brand, but work FANTASTIC after ~8k. |
