Author Message   Tipsymcstagger Posted on Thursday, April 17, 2008 - 11:13 pm:        Well, this morning I took a 6:30 flight from La Guardia down to Raleigh to pick up my hardly used '08 Uly! It had 414 miles on the clock when I handed over the cash. In fact, I rode more miles today back to NYC than the total mileage on the bike at the start of the day! The seller was a stand-up guy and the transaction was smooth as silk. No misrepresentations or problems of any kind. I was so busy riding, I hardly took any pictures, but here's one: I hit a bunch of traffic in the DC area and the fan seemed to run quite a bit...even once I got back to 30-40mph...it seemed to stay on for quite some time. But I guess that's normal when it's hot. It was probably close to 80 degrees when I was in traffic. And speaking of traffic...traffic SUCKS on the Uly! As soon as you let the clutch out, the bike wants to go at least 20mph. But I guess this is old news. I just need to avoid traffic Anyway, I'm really psyched about my new ride. HID low beam and a set of PIAA 510's will be among the first mod's. He said he just got back into the Reserves and his time for riding will be limited.
