Just thought I'd throw in a little blurb regarding the new '08 XT. The kid (on his '07STT) and I (on my '07X) went to test ride the amazing 1125R at our local HD dealer. Unfortunately for us, the only 1125R they had on hand was sold (way to go Buell, these things are selling like hotcakes!!!) so I thought I'd take an XT for a ride (to get my free genuine Buell hydration pack.....get them now while they are available!) Kinda nice being able to flat foot it. First and most notable thing I noticed about the '08 bike was how incredibly smooth the engine was compared to my bike. Had me wondering if there was something wrong with my scooter..... went for about a five minute ride and decided by the end of the ride that I actually liked the ride height and ride quality of my X better than the XT. But still, what's with the new motor? So, had the kid ride the XT to see what he thought. When he got back he said the same thing. At 2500RPM the new motor is freakin' smooth!!! compared to either of our bikes. Is the new fuell (pun intended) injection system that much better? Nothing else is listed on the spec sheet offhand that would explain the difference in motor run-ability. Anybody else had a chance to ride one? thoughts? Overall, thought the XT was a nice bike but I guess I've become spoiled by being so tall in the saddle of the X. Coolest thing was realizing how, over the past 25 years, these bikes (Buells in general) have consistently improved in quality and performance and keep doing so. I'm proud to pull up at the local bike stop with this bike and let the other guys inspect it (trying to find something wrong with it) only to have them say "this is a nice bike". Congrats Erik, you done good.

How did I miss this one? Do you have a link? I don't see it on the Buell site.
