Good lists but most important for me is a pair of reading glasses. Seems my up close eye sight is getting worse by the day. All the supplies/tools in the world can't help me without them. I suppose this only applies to us none prescription glass wearing people though

Aging sucks.

Welcome to the world of "Presbyopia".

If it's any comfort, you are not alone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presbyopia

And a little known fact - Lasik can hasten the onset of presbyopia. Don't ask me how I found this out.

Johnboy,
Do you use those magnums for emergency gloves if it rains?

I fall into the "cell phone and credit card" camp.

I do carry a tire patch kit, and yes, you can fill a tire enough with CO2 to get you to a place where you can properly inflate it. Just have to keep the speeds down.

I don't know what to think about the belt issue. I've never broken one, but I recently ordered a new one and plan on changing it soon. I'll keep the old one "just in case", but I don't know that I'd carry it on the road with me.

I suppose it depends on where you'll be riding. If you're going to be smack dab in the middle of nowhere, then I'd take a bunch of provisions (including food and water....especially water). But most of the places I ride aren't more than 30 miles from a town. Even if there is no cell service, I could huff it 30 miles if I really HAD to (or hitch hike).

Uly1080 - I bought the automotive one at Pepboys for $25. I think the only difference is that the powersource has to be a cigarette lighter style, and the slime is labeled as Motorcycle.
