Well I found out the hard way that the top box makes a fairly good wheelie bar.....
Unfortunately I cracked the top cover of the box in the process. The good news is I saved it from a total loop and now have nice scuff marks on it to prove it.....

Does anybody have a top case they want to get rid of?

You know I often wondered if the top case would get in the way during our one wheel journeys.
I guess I have my answer. Sorry to hear you damaged your case.

Stevem123,
I've got one,HB original Buell job(un-used,panel sprayed gloss black),trouble is I'm in the UK.
If you have no luck elsewhere, let me know and we can sort something out-I suspect trans-Atlantic postage for something this size might be prohibitve though.

Help me understand... Did you lean so far back it hit the case, then came back forward onto the wheels and kept going???

If so... THAT IS AWESOME!

Yep Mikef5000 that's right! I can hardly believe it myself. Not only that but I had forgotten to lock the mounting latch and the top box popped off. It slid down the road a little and a nice guy in a pickup stopped and got it for me. I hadn't realized it until he flagged me down to give it back! Nothing else touched the ground and besides the top getting a crack in it I put it back on and away I went!
This bike is just awesome!

Now that the box is already cracked, it won't hurt to do it again! This time in front of a camera PLEASE!

Would have looked something like this...

That's almost vertical...

Hey, I did the same thing, but thankfully I had the box off. It scraped the hell out of the rack, but a belt sander and can of black paint fixed that right quick. And no, I did not land it. It deposited me on my butt and kept on going on its own. Thankfully it laid down in the mud so the damage was not too bad.
