I haven't seen it yet. It is a new model for 2008, so they are few and far between. |

I'm using an XD-Tour. What are the changes on the XD-3? I bet you still won't be able to look up at 75 mph while cruising down the I. |

Haven't followed the XD3 but my Shoei Hornet DS is surprisingly wind-tolerant, and a little quieter than the Arai Quantum it replaced. |

I ride with a XD almost exclusively, I also have a Schubeth,RF100,Scorpion EX700/EX1000,VR1 and a few other lessor models. Bottom line when I go to my shop pick a bike then pick a helmet it is almost always the Arai. P.S. You are always supposed to be looking forward not up. |

I have a Schubeth also, (which I'm now calling my winter helmet) and use the Arai for everything else. I would remove the visor if I was doing another 4 or 5-day cross-country jaunt on the super slab. My XD came with 2 little plastic plates that screw into the side of the helmet to cover the holes where the visor attaches. Do all XDs come with those or just the Tour model? Your neck muscles will definitely get a workout if the wind gets under the visor at speed. Without the visor, you won't have use self-control when that that bald eagle, low-flying jet fighter or billboard cutie passes overhead. |
