Anyone know if they fixed the problem with the H & B factory luggage latches? Considering getting them. Hal's will hook me up for $640, which isn't bad, but the latch problem concerns me. | ||

I haven't seen a report of the latch problem on 07's or 08's. I think they beefed up the latches. At any rate, most agree that as long as you don't use the latches to pull the bag lids closed (push the lid closed first, then close the latch) you won't have a problem. | ||

That price was for 2 bags + the rack/hardware. I may buy them as they look great on the bike and the price is competitive with other options. | ||

If the latch breaks, its only 20 bucks without the warranty. Ordered one for mine last week. Got a set of three(side and top case) for 750 shipped, but they were used. | ||

Yes, the problem has been corrected. Latches are no longer prone to breakage. Yes, they do look great. They offer very good warranty service should you happen to have any problems. They hold lots and lots of stuff, get them. |
