I've been emailing with the demo truck driver in preparation for our event on 4/12...and he has confirmed that one of his 12 bikes is a UlyXT. If you want to ride this bike, keep an eye out for a demo event near you. Looks like they will be letting HD do the demos at Americade again this year. Wonder if they will even have an 1125r? Last year they did not even have a Uly on the truck. Not exactly a Buell crowd but a bit of a missed opportunity never the less. | ||

I don't know about the "Buell Crowd" part there...so far this month I've had 2 customers trade HD's in on Buells. I love it! | ||

i liked the demo ride so much that i'm trading the nightster in next weekend in on an xt. that is one incredible bike in the mountains on those roads. test road a standard uly after they came out and it was a bit to tall for me and even the xt can be a little awkward in uneven places but i am totally impressed. | ||

When you want to open the top case lid, do you have to put the triple tail in the down forward position? | ||

Yes you can open it a bit with the tail up. It only about a third of the way if I remeber right. Its enough to get my shoes in and out of no problem. | ||

The triple tail flexes. The top case will open about halfway, but you can push it open nearly all the way by flexing the triple tail. My first mod is going to be putting the backrest on the top case a la HD, and removing the triple tail backrest....although I'm getting an X, not an XT (nice having a 34" inseam, and a 3/4 mile gravel washed-out driveway lol). |
