Is anyone running a handlebar bag that clears the gas cap and you can actually see the gauges? I have seen the Touratech and it looks pretty good. I was wondering if there were any other options?

I haven't tried any other brands but I had the Touratech on my GS and found it perfect for holding my sunglasses, garage door opener, toll change, etc. In fact, I'm planning on ordering another one for my XT.

just my $.02

Bar bag or man purse?...that is the question.

I would submit that it's only a purse if you take it off the bike and carry it around. For someone who doesn't want
a tank bag, it seems like a great farkle.

It's no stinking purse.
Did you ever fall on your keys?

I have had the Touratech bag for 2 years. Works great. You can see instruments fine and fill-up the tank with some care. While I have never had a problem with it falling (or walking) off, I am going to add some velcro straps to hold it in place better.

+2 years on the man bag here as well. Holds up fine, rain or shine. I built a wire form inside, so that it will keep it's shape better.

I just got mine from Touratech, and it's now held in place with three velcro straps! The only thing I would change is the mesh pocket on the outside needs either elastic or a draw cord on the opening.

Otherwise, perfect! I carry my phone, digital camera, chapstick, and change in it!

I just got this bag today. There was Open House at the dealership and they had the bag on sale for a real good price €20,-.
Mine does not have the Velcro. The instructions don't call for it. Will the bag stay on the handlebar or should I contact Touratech? Ride safe Werner

It didn't come with velcro when I got mine. It has held fine, but I am still going to drill the rivets and install a two-sided velcro strap under clip so it wraps around and secures to the bar.
