For those of you that have opted for the Avon Distanzias for the Uly, what price did you pay? I have been quoted 295- for tires only on my 08 Uly. Just curious as there are not of lot of dealers in my area to choose from.
Thanks---

Thanks for the input. It looks like the 160/60 17 for the rear is the best fit. Any problems with the sizing?

I just spooned on a set this past weekend. The 160/60 rear fit just fine. Though I have noticed that the rear "falls" very quickly into a turn as compared to the 180/55 on there before. Then again, I am coming off of worn out D616's.

I will put on around 2k miles this weekend at MBV...so it'll be a good test of the tires.

I bought mine from SWMototire.com for I think $230.

Just back from Iowa and order the Distanzias from SW Moto Tires. 229.90 w/no shipping fees.
120/70HR-17 front and 160/60HR-17 rear.
Thanks guys...

A local dealer (not H-D/Buell) sells tires as a loss leader. I always order through them and mount myself.

Last set of Distanzias were around $80 front and $95 rear. Plus tax.

I just ordered some Pilot Road 2s for a fairly long pavement trip coming up next month. About $225 total for both.

Regarding the Distanzias, note that this size is a SM (supermoto) tire; stickier, but doesn't wear as long. I still love 'em for on/off pavement.

+3 on the stickiness of the distanzia- fantastic tire and looks like I'll still get 4k miles on it: )
