Ouch, bad publicity! I bet he never heard the end of it from his buddies. Good thing chicks dig riding on the back of Ulys than Dakars and dirt bikes.

I'm thinkin' that the Jardine pipe on that bike upset the smooth flow of water under the bike causing turbulence and ultimately the catastrophic failure shown above.

Lt Mitchell could neither anticipate or avoid the water vortex and deficient traction surfaces... It is the opinion of this Board that he be returned to rider status. Up right the bike. And HTFU through the water crossing
(insert Top Gun youtube clip here, I cant get to them at work)

No not really, Buell have never claimed it was but they can't seem to get the message out. Any ROAD, be it paved, gravel or fire road etc.

Dual sport to me is my Suzuki DR650 or the wife's DR200, the Uly ain't a dual sport.

Agreed Bosh.

Using the Ulysses as a dual sport is similar to trying to drive a nail with a screwdriver. Sure, it can be done, but you're gonna beat the hell out of your screwdriver and it's going to take a lot longer to do it.

Shoulda had the side bags on. Bet they make good flotation devices as well as great slider pucks.

What's the old off-road adage...oh yeah. WALK thru your crossings before you drive through them, especially if you don't know what's under the surface!

And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
