So, I ran a new fused wire from the battery up to the cowl and have a ground ready for it. I see that there is rom to get it in there(with the help of a shoehorn). I am having a bit of trouble figuring out what wires go where with the relay. I am guessing: 1- Plug the power from the battery into the 30 on the 2- relay 2- Plug a ground into the 85 on the relay 3- Make a short wire from the horn's + to the 87 on the relay 4- Make a ground out of the horn's - terminal. 5- My guessing ends in when I look at the stock wiring for the horn and figure out what to plg into the 86 on the relay. Can anyone give me a little guidance? Thanks a ton. |

Use the factory horn wires and plug them into the coil of the relay first. Press your horn button and you will hear the relay click. Connect the fused + wire to one side of the relay and the horn to the other side. Connect the - side of the horn to ground. Then install ear plugs into both ears and press horn button. This step is very important. WARNING- DO NOT TEST HORN IN THE GARAGE OR NEAR ANY GLASS. |

+1 on what CG said - the Stebel will induce spontaneous ear bleeding! Eastern Beaver has a nice diagram http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Products/Horn_Ki ts/Installation/installation.html |

Thanks Chris! That is just the description I needed. My wife and I are driving all of California Hwy 1 down the coast and leaving tomorrow! I'll be glad to have this horn when traversing the asphalt jungle of angels. |

I saw someplace were they took one of these horns apart and put the compresor in a remote location might have been on aerostich site I remember seeing that too, at the time it seemed like a good idea. I think the advantage to the unit assembly is quick compressor-to-trumpets response. I've run Fiamm air horns on a couple of cars, the farther the trumpets from the compressor the longer the delay until full volume. Stebel makes a marine version too encased in gray plastic, I'm thinking about one of them mounted outside the cowl. |

yeah I figured it would have a lag time before for the turbo to spool up and get to the remote trumpet,I took mine apart last night just to see if I could,it's an OCD thing Ive had since childhood |
