I took my extra running lights off about 4 months ago and was looking for something to replace them. After some looking around I decided to go with the TrailTech MR11 HID's.

Self contained ballast and they only draw 13 watts each.

Started thinking about a different way to hook them up (different from the last set of lights). Probably got carried away... but decided to get a Centech AP-2 fuse block. I ordered a kit with wiring harness from Eastern Beaver.

Decided to mount the fuse block under the fly screen. I have some other ideas about what to hook up... this is sort of an experiment, so not 100% sure it will work out exactly as planned... only time will tell.

This is a work in progress.. I still have to actually wire and hang the lights, but so far so good.

If your interested. there are a number of pics of the process here

COOL PICS. I was also thinking of getting the same lights. I love HID's as I have a different set mounted on my ATK605. how are these little guys at night. I commute 36miles in the dark both ways (14hr shifts) through mountain forest roads. are these bright enough? how do they compare to regular 55w fog/spot lights. I currently run a pair of 3" 55w halogen spot lights but they draw alot of juice that I would rather use for electric gear when I ride 2-up.
